The weeklong supervoyage explores the fabled fjords and islands of Desolation Sound, the mediterranean Gulf Islands in the Salish Sea, and the historic passage along Vancouver Island’s east coast. It happens as spring blooms, bringing wildflowers to the meadows and nutrients to fish, seabirds and mammals in the ocean.
This trip features the natural world, including plenty of shore trips and wildlife viewing with naturalist guides.
Shore destinations include wild beaches, rainforest walks, heritage farmsteads, and wildflower meadows. Cruising includes mountain-peaked fjords and archipelagos.
The region is rated one of the world’s best small-boat cruising destinations for its combination of snow-capped mountains, abundant islands, beautiful anchorages, and remote nature. It’s a place for people who love to explore.
New: In 2017, respected outdoorsman, filmmaker and musician Les Stroud (of Survivorman fame) will join the crew as one of your personal guides. Stroud will share wisdom he’s learned from elders around the world, not just about living alone in nature, but also about people’s spiritual connection to the planet.
