What a magical and awe-inspiring adventure!

I can't believe we're already at the end of our wonderful week on the central coast; I had no concept, a the beginning, of the riches we would see. Thank you! -and for the wonderful meals- I could go on and on! I look forward to another trip sometime in the future.

This ‘journey’ was beyond expectation. The natural environment to which we were introduced is beyond belief and will stay with me for the rest of my life. I hope that the knowledge we have learned will spread far and wide and enable this area of Canada to remain totally unchanged.

Truly magical! This trip was as fabulous as I had hoped. The crew; always smiling, always considerate, always a great sense of humour.

The Maple Leaf staff worked together in perfect synchrony with the wonders of nature for an incomparable trip. A slight touch of rain during a morning early in the trip set us up to appreciate the sunny weather to follow...

What a wonderful trip. Mountains and sea, stories and songs, bears and hot springs, salmon bennies and lamb loin, and raven puppets. A great crew too. A chance to be in the moment on the coast of the Great Bear Rainforest. Thank you all!
-Sharon Adelman, Vancouver BC
My most favorite adventure ever! Great crew and wonderful co-passengers.

How can it be? An eight day trip gives the feeling of being away for 8 weeks or more. It all has to do with this extraordinary piece of nature “The Great Bear Rain Forest”. We feel very satisfied having seen so much in such a short time. Many many thanks to those people who gave a great effort and made this all possible.

Thank you so much Captain and Crew. A wonderful experience! “There it is!” “No, there are two!” “No, Three!” “There’s another black one!” “A mother and two cubs coming your way” “There they are!” “Watch the body language. If she’s still eating, she’s not worried about us.” “They’re so loud. Are they always that noisy?” “Let’s stay in a group. We’ll be a big animal, and she won’t want to bother with us.” “Bald eagle, straight ahead.” “Look, on that branch.” “Whoa- just about lost my boot in the mud there!” “Wrist-to-wrist. Grab a hold, I’ll help you up.” “The salmon are stacked two-to-three deep in that pole.” “Have they reached their spawning grounds yet?” “There’s no such things as a bad weather day, just inadequate clothing!” “Love these rain pants” “Oh my gosh, oh my gosh- it’s white!"

It's so easy to say that an adventure is a "once in a lifetime event". What's hard is to find words that describe how one trip can be packed with so many once in a lifetime moments. I just returned from the Great Bear Rainforest, having spent 6 days on Passing Cloud. From the minute we stepped on board, the crew made us feel like family. They took care of us, taught us, encouraged us, and laughed with us. Thank you is suddenly so inadequate, but my deepest, heartfelt thanks to the crew of Passing Cloud, Russ, Matt, Given, and David, for a truly life changing trip
