The crenelated peaks of the Brooks Peninsula mountains signal wild territory on popular Vancouver Island. Presumably unglaciated during the last ice age and jutting west into the Pacific, almost to the continental shelf, the Peninsula is a rugged barrier few cross … but the beaches, islands and wildlife are spectacular.
