MV Cascadia 500T 4th class ticket+

The Engineer aboard MV Cascadia is primarily responsible for the mechanical and electrical systems onboard the vessel, including powering and key functions such as steering, anchoring, cargo handling, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, communication systems and other related equipment. The engineer will have some passing contact with guests, projecting assurance and confidence as a key crew.

Reporting to the Captain, the Engineer aboard Cascadia has overall responsibility for the preparation and readiness of all mechanical and electrical systems throughout the expedition season.

Job Requirements:
  • Fourth Class Engineer Certificate, marine engineering experience
  • STCW Advanced Firefighting, Proficiency in Survival Craft
  • Marine Emergency Duties (MED) A1/A2, Marine Medical and CPR
  • Strong interpersonal skills, flexible and organized
