Resources for Journalists & Media

Travel is not just about the destination. It’s about the stories we uncover along the way.

About Maple Leaf Adventures

Boutique Nature Expeditions in BC and Alaska

Maple Leaf Adventures has been offering small ship cruises that feature the natural and cultural history of Alaska and Canada’s west coast since 1986.

Our “cruise ships” are restored, classic sailing ships, a classic tugboat and a steel-hulled expedition ship built for coastal exploration. Between 70 and 138 feet long, they are beautiful, comfortable and strong expedition ships.

Our people are local experts who are passionate about this beautiful coast. They are mariners, naturalists, community leaders, guides and chefs. We work to protect the coast that gives us our livelihood and spiritual sustenance.

Working With Maple Leaf Adventures

Through the lens of travel, we discover the extraordinary stories

We value our journalist and media partners and look forward to working together. Maple Leaf Adventures is a pioneer of small ship adventures on the BC and Alaska coast and works with journalists on media requests on a frequent basis.

If you are interested in requesting a media trip, please complete and submit the form below for consideration. Please be aware that because we take just a small number of guests per trip, we can host only a limited number of journalists each year. In most cases, we require an editor’s commitment to a story.

Maple Leaf Adventures is more than happy to address any questions you may have regarding Canada’s west coast and Alaska, including its history, wildlife, and our own trips and vessels. If you are inquiring about a media partnership, please reach out to us using the contact methods provided.

Image Usage Rights
  • You may use our photographs royalty-free provided they are used exclusively with information about our trips
  • Photo credit must be given to the photographer (e.g. Simon Ager)
