  • About Hiring Expedition and Crew Positions

    We are currently hiring for seasonal relief and on-call positions with multiple contracts available from April to November, as well as opportunities to join our winter maintenance teams. These range from expedition guides and naturalists, to chefs, deckhands, mates, stewards captains and engineers. Keep an eye on this page for the latest postings.

  • Mates (MV Cascadia)

    The Mate aboard Cascadia will be responsible for assisting the captain to ensure overall vessel preparation and readiness throughout the expedition season.

  • Mates (SV Maple Leaf)

    The Mate aboard Maple Leaf will be responsible for assisting with all aspects of running an expedition tourism vessel including deck duties, cleaning duties, assisting with sailing, tender operations, and leading shore excursions.

  • Mates (SV Swell)

    The Mate aboard Swell will be responsible for assisting with all aspects of running an expedition tourism vessel including deck duties, cleaning duties, tender operations, and leading shore excursions.

  • Engineers (MV Cascadia)

    The Engineer aboard MV Cascadia is responsible for the mechanical and electrical systems onboard the vessel, including powering and key functions such as steering, anchoring, cargo handling, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, communication systems and other related equipment.

  • Captains (MV Swell)

    The Swell Captain will be responsible for operating pre-scheduled guest travel in a variety of locations around BC’s central and southern coast.

  • Captains (Maple Leaf)

    The Maple Leaf Captain will be responsible for operating pre-scheduled guest travel in a variety of locations around BC’s central and southern coast.

  • Captains (MV Cascadia)

    The Captain aboard MV Cascadia is not only in command of the vessel but provides leadership for the entire crew and a leadership presence for guests throughout each expedition.

  • Small Vessel Machinery Operator/Deckhand

    If you enjoy working at sea and have experience in maintaining and repairing marine equipment, and like caring for unique and special ships, then this job may be for you.

  • Stewards

    The Steward will be responsible for assisting with all aspects of running an expedition tourism vessel including guest interactions, duties on deck, housekeeping, cleaning and laundry, and food and beverage services throughout the expedition season.

  • Naturalists

    The Naturalist operates an enjoyable, program for our guests. The naturalist is also a key member of the hosting team and has an important responsibility to break the ice with guests, get to know them as individuals, and give them confidence in the trip.

  • Deckhands

    Deckhands provide support to the Captain, Mate and Chef to provide a comfortable experience for guests on board. Ideal candidates show promises to become mates with experience and relevant certifications.

  • Shipboard Chefs And Cooks

    If you thrive in a dynamic working environment, like meeting new people and can produce inspired, creative, delicious, and healthy meals in a small ship’s galley, you will make a great addition to our hardworking team!
