What struck me the most was the love all the crew displayed for us, the boat and each other. All of you had an aura of joy surrounding you. I love the boat. You’ve done an amazing job of putting everything together and maintaining the Maple Leaf. It was a grand adventure for me seeing how everything works, from setting the sails, catching prawns, and determining where to anchor. Kevin, you did a fantastic job of knowing what lay ahead. The humour between you and Paul was so enjoyable. Lila, amazing food preparation in a tiny kitchen! Wonderfulchef. Fiona is a truly amazing naturalist. We learned so much. Wow!!! What an amazing adventure! Thanks to Maple Leaf Adventures for living up to their name. I loved the boat herself, so graceful and solid. Setting sail and steering her under sail was a real high point. I will highly recommend this trip to everyone I know, and my hundreds of Facebook friends have already been inquiring. My heart is full of thanksgiving for the simply amazing days aboard the good ship Maple Leaf! So many new experiences, new friends on board, navigating dingy trips and exploring these beautiful gulf islands! And what can I possibly say to express my admiration for James’ culinary skills! And to add to all this I now have an island named for me – hope some of my grandkids will visit one day! This trip has blessed me in so many ways and making it with my number one son Gareth has made it even more special!
