Canada’s west coast expedition expert in Toronto for 2 events, Feb 27 & Mar 1
With this month’s release of the IMAX film featuring British Columbia’s wild coast, people will increasingly wonder how to travel to the region’s hard-to-access fjords and bears. Just in time, Maple Leaf Adventures, one of the Canada’s only specialists in sustainable travel to the Great Bear Rainforest will be giving two presentations in Toronto, Feb 27 and Mar 1.
Maple Leaf Adventures, whose trips have been designated a Canadian signature experience by Destination Canada, has pioneered ecotourism-based expedition cruises in the remote parts of BC and Alaska for over 30 years.
Co-owner and guide Maureen Gordon will provide information on what to expect on a trip in regions that feature spirit bears, monumental indigenous village sites and thousands of kilometres of protected coastline.
This is a complimentary event and attendees will be able to learn how to access Haida Gwaii, the Great Bear Rainforest and Vancouver Island’s west coast, as well as southeast Alaska, in a manner much like a high-end safari. Gordon will also be on hand to answer one-on-one questions.
The trips offered by Maple Leaf Adventures range in price from approx. $3,000 to upwards of $8,000 all inclusive. The Toronto events will also showcase boutique BC wines – a popular amenity on every one of their trips. .
