In the Southern Great Bear Rainforest lies the largest marine park along British Columbia’s coastline: The Broughton Archipelago. Rich in First Nation’s culture and marine life, the Broughtons often get overlooked by the bird enthusiasts as the area is more commonly known for its whale activity.

6 Birds you may see in the Broughtons during the month of October:

  1. Pacific Loons
  2. Cassin Auklets
  3. Black-legged Kittiwakes
  4. Surf Scoter
  5. Barrow’s Goldeneye
  6. Bonaparte Gulls
